Art and Spirituality are the core essence of my being.  The images that emerge in my studio connect me to the life force of the planet and to the mystery of symbol from the boundary-less imagination.  Sometimes these images are the beautiful vistas from my Lake Superior home -- of water, sandstone and forest, the ancient footsteps of geology.  Other times the images emerge from the spirit and mystery of this place -- from the animals, trees, water, birds, or the ancient peoples that were here.  These images surprise and enchant me as they flow from my interior connection to the Mystery.

My art images have sometimes flowed from inner places where I need to grow and heal.  Or sometimes images come from my curiosity about the mystery of life, leading me into study about the people, animals, birds, or spirituality of this place.

From the first moment I stood on Lake Superior's shores in 1972, I have not been able to live far from her mysterious energy.  How can one explain the magnetic pull of her glacial waters, or the ancient energy of the Canadian Shield, some of the oldest exposed rock on the planet?

I continue to be enchanted by the work emerging in my studio -- by the never ending mystery of place and symbol.
