creates art focusing on the spiritual: art integrally connected to Lake Superior, northern Wisconsin and Minnesota and the interior personal landscape. Her art is expressed in a wide range of media from acrylic to water color to collage, from traditional wall hangings to furniture. Her spiritual teaching - - in workshops such as "Our Stories, Our Selves," "Creating Authentic Art" -- uses guided imagery, creative visualization, and journaling to deeply revitalize creative energies.
Jan received her BA and MA in art from the University of Kansas. She has taught art in preshcool through college in both public and private schools. She facilitates workshops, is a Spiritual Director, teacher of spiritual practices, and is trained in shamanic practices. Jan lives and works in Washburn, Wisconsin, on the Bayfield Peninsula, gateway to the Apostle Islands.
